Six years after the completion of  their new high school facility, Our Lady of Good Counsel was ready to add the performing arts infill that had been master-planned for the site.  The core objective was to allow fulfillment of theatre, music, and dance curriculum without the need for showcasing student work off campus.  Other goals included providing an appropriate school assembly space, plus opportunities for civic and business use.

The 800 seat main auditorium offers an accessible venue while maintaining quality sightlines and comfortable seating.  The stage has a height-limited fly tower with counterweight and motor-assist rigging, plus significant stage lighting infrastructure extending into the auditorium coves.   A full complement of soft goods serves many event types.  The venue is also pre-rigged and wired to accommodate a full orchestra shell enclosure.

Backstage, there is a crossover corridor flanked by scene shop and dressing rooms.  Costume shop, storage, and pit access are located below the stage.  The orchestra pit is equipped with a motorized lift platform that travels from basement to house and stage levels.

Above the backstage, a comfortable dance studio with sprung floor and integral mirror/barre system serves class and recital needs.  Next door, the black box doubles as a theatre classroom.  Both spaces share a lighting infrastructure fed by a re-purposed 24-dimmer rack with patch bay.  Overhead are pipe grids with masking track/drapery and Lighting/AV infrastructure.
